Map a customer’s question to the right page
Use the words people understand in titles, headings and links. Google’s SEO Starter Guide supports clear organization and discoverable content; it does not turn a keyword list into a ranking guarantee.
| Question | Useful destination | Essential answer |
|---|---|---|
| What is conversion tracking? | A teaching guide | What is measured, an example and common mistakes. |
| What does the course include? | The complete course page | Modules, fee, duration, practice and suitability. |
| Can you run my Google Ads? | The Google Ads service page | Scope, account access, reporting and budget factors. |
| Where is the classroom? | The contact page | The actual address and working contact actions. |
Use E-E-A-T as a trust check
Google’s helpful-content guidance encourages clear authorship, trustworthy sourcing and information grounded in experience or expertise. E-E-A-T is not a separate score or a badge purchased from Google. Explain who is responsible and support claims readers need to rely on.
Our editorial exercise is to mark every claim as a confirmed business fact, a sourced platform fact, an illustrative example or a point still needing confirmation. Remove unresolved claims before publication.
An exporter’s page should help a buyer evaluate the product
Consider an illustrative manufacturer selling packaging material. A buyer needs more than repeated phrases such as “leading exporter”. Explain the material, dimensions, tolerances, available finishes, packaging, minimum order quantity and enquiry process using verified specifications.
Add current, authorised photographs of the real product and explain where a quote depends on quantity or customization. If a certification is relevant, identify it accurately and confirm that it applies to the product and period being discussed. Do not generate a certification logo or a fabricated test report.
An original comparison explaining when two materials suit different uses can be more useful than ten generic export articles. Keep unsupported regulatory or product-performance claims out of the page.
A repeatable five-part content audit
Save the old version and a short change note. Ask someone unfamiliar with the business to complete a realistic task, such as finding the next batch or understanding a quote. Their difficulty is useful input for the next edit.
- Purpose: can a new visitor explain what this page is for after reading the opening?
- Completeness: are the important costs, conditions, process and next step explained where relevant?
- Evidence: which facts, demonstrations or original observations support the claims?
- Readability: do headings, short paragraphs, descriptive links and useful visuals make the answer easy to navigate?
- Maintenance: who will update changed fees, services, contact details and dated examples?
Avoid shortcuts that damage the page
Google’s spam policies cover practices such as doorway pages, keyword stuffing, deceptive hidden text and manipulative links. Low-value pages produced at scale can be a problem whether a person or AI created them.
For example, replacing “Navrangpura” with dozens of city names while keeping every other sentence the same does not establish real local service information. Add a location page only when the business has accurate, useful information for that location.
Turn the lesson into a portfolio piece
Choose a page for a simulated business or one you have permission to edit. Write a one-page brief containing the target reader, main question, evidence available, proposed headings, internal links and enquiry action. Rewrite the page, then explain three changes and why they help the reader.
Keep the before-and-after copy and your reasoning. If you later obtain real performance data, record the period and other campaign changes. Do not present a classroom rewrite as a successful client SEO campaign. This creates an honest work sample for an SEO, content or digital marketing role.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a perfect word count for SEO?
No. Use enough detail to answer the task clearly. Remove filler and expand only where the reader needs explanation, evidence or a useful example.
Can I use AI to draft the page?
Yes, as part of a supervised process. Supply verified facts, review the draft and add original business knowledge. See our AI content guide for the approval workflow.
Do changing dates and adding more pages automatically improve rankings?
No. Update a date when the content has meaningfully changed. Decide whether to add a page from a real audience need.
Will every FAQ get a special Google result?
No. Publish FAQs to help visitors understand the topic. Neither an FAQ section nor structured data guarantees a special Search display.
