Move From AI Chatting to Controlled Business Workflows

Before choosing a tool, write down the task. What starts the conversation? What information is needed? Which action can the assistant take, and what must a person confirm?

The course helps you turn those answers into a practical workflow. You study knowledge sources, tools, integrations and testing through examples that show where an assistant can help and where it needs limits.

Course Modules

AI-Agent Fundamentals

Begin with the difference between an assistant that answers a question and a system that takes an action. Learn how instructions, approved information, tools, memory and permissions fit together, and how to define the limits of a small business agent.

Process Mapping

Choose one repeatable task and write down what happens from start to finish. What starts it, what information is needed, what can go wrong and who handles an exception? This simple map helps you judge whether automation will actually make the work easier.

Knowledge and Prompt Design

Prepare the information the agent is allowed to rely on, such as approved FAQs, services and escalation rules. Learn to make missing information visible and route uncertain questions to a person. An agent should not fill gaps with a convincing guess.

Voice and Call Agents

Plan conversations for routine enquiries, lead details, appointment requests and permitted reminders. Work through accents, pauses, interruptions and misunderstood answers, along with consent and handover. A flow should make sense to an ordinary caller, not only in a perfect demonstration.

Integrations and Automation

Explore how forms, spreadsheets, customer records, calendars and messaging tools can connect. Learn what access each step needs and where a person must confirm an action. More complex connections may need API knowledge or developer support.

Testing and Monitoring

Try ordinary requests alongside unclear wording, missing information and requests the agent should not follow. Review what it said and did, then improve the knowledge or the process. The lesson includes how to keep checking a workflow after its first successful demonstration.

Plan a clear introduction, collect only the details needed for the task and make it easy to reach a person. Learn how consent, access limits, opt-outs and review fit into the customer experience without making routine interactions unnecessarily difficult.

Practical Project

Design one agent for a specific business task. Your blueprint brings together the objective, conversation, approved information, permissions, tests and handover rules. Confirm which parts of the project will be demonstrated or built with the platform access included in your batch.

Design an assistant with clear limits

Map an inbound enquiry from question to approved answer, contact request and human handover. Define the knowledge source, update responsibility and actions the assistant is permitted to perform.

A practical exercise can test a fee question, an unknown timetable, a request for a discount and a complaint. Record when the assistant should answer, ask for clarification or hand over. Advanced integrations require additional technical practice and testing.

A LITTLE MORE CLARITY

Frequently asked questions

Is coding required?

The foundation course can use no-code or low-code tools. More advanced integrations may require APIs or developer support.

Will I build a working call agent?

Ask us to explain the exact project and platform access for your batch. The course includes designing a complete agent workflow; the working prototype you can build depends on the tools available. A production call agent also needs telephony, testing, permissions and ongoing monitoring.

Can an agent make decisions automatically?

Only within clearly defined authority. Sensitive, irreversible, financial, medical or legally significant actions should require appropriate human confirmation.
